Construction works are continuing in 3 new metro lines planned to be opened in Istanbul in 2020. Considering the projects under construction and in the bidding process, it is aimed to establish a 517.95 km rail system network in 2023. The real goal; reach a total of 1,100 kilometers of rail network. Construction works continue on 17 metro lines. 3 of these 17 meters will be opened in 2020. Here are three new metro lines to be opened in Istanbul in 2020;
Sabiha Gökçen Airport – Tavşantepe Metro Line
Sabiha Gökçen Airport-Tavşantepe Metro Line will be 7.40 kilometers long. Travel time on the Metro line will be 11.5 minutes. Sabiha Gökçen Airport-Tavşantepe Metro Line, 5 stations that will consist of; Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Sanayi, Yayalar, Hastane, Tavşantepe. Sabiha Gökçen Airport – Tavşantepe Metro Line is planned to be commissioned in 2020.
Dudullu – Bostancı Metro Line
Dudullu-Bostancı Metro Line will be 14.30 kilometers long. The trip time on the Metro line will be 15 minutes. Metro line will connect the districts of Kadıköy, Maltepe, Ataşehir and Ümraniye. Dudullu-Bostancı Metro Line is planned to be commissioned in 2020.
Dudullu – Bostancı Metro Line consists of 13 stations. Stations are as follows; Bostancı İDO, Emin Ali Paşa, Ayşe Kadın, Kozyatağı, Küçükbakkalköy, İçerenköy, Kayışdağı, Mevlana, IMES, Modoko / KEYAP, Dudullu, Huzur, Parseller.
Boğaziçi U. / Hisarüstü Aşiyan – Funicular Line
Hisarüstü Aşiyan-Funicular Line will be 0.80 kilometers long. The journey duration will be 2,5 minutes. / Hisarüstü Aşiyan-Funicular Line is planned to be commissioned in 2020.
